The Public Outreach Team would like to officially announce the winner of this years IYCN Outreach Competition with the theme "Food Chemistry". We congratulate Dr. Sandy Lama, currently doing her postdoc at RWTH Aachen in Germany. Her experiment deals with "starch sources, properties and applications" and touches on a wide variety of chemical and physical concepts and properties which include combustion, gelatinization, bio-plastics and fluid dynamics. The experiment will soon be added to our database, thus we welcome anyone interested to assist with the translation process to make this engaging experiment available to more people.
